Work Schedule:
100% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday between the hours are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Hours may very depending on the operational needs of the department. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking an RN Oncology Navigator to:
  • Be a leader in providing comprehensive cancer care for patients and caregivers throughout all phases of cancer care
  • Assess patients' barriers to care, psychosocial, and learning needs to advocate for and support patients and caregivers, collaboratively with teams and support services, as we strive to provide equitable care and outcomes for our patients
  • Facilitate timely and coordinated transitions of care, provide anticipatory guidance, reinforce patient and caregiver education, provide guidance in the shared decision-making process, and provide mental and emotional support to patients and caregivers through the continuum of cancer care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings
  • Participate in continuous quality and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Required
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field Preferred

Work Experience
  • 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
  • 1 year of relevant experience in the specific patient population being supported Preferred

Licenses & Certifications
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
  • Applicable Oncology certification based on patient population Preferred
