Job description

Brandt Corporate Services Ltd. is seeking an IT Project Manager to join its growing team in Regina, SK.  This position is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering large multi-phase IT projects and programs on time, within budget, and according to specifications by defining project requirements and scope, acquiring project resources, and supervising project team members.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct cost-benefit, risk, and ROI analyses to determine project feasibility.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of Brandt's project portfolio.
  • Lead new system installations, expansions, modifications, and migrations.
  • Create project charters, milestones, staffing plans, risks, assumptions, and deliverables.
  • Develop project timelines, work breakdown structures, and detailed plans.
  • Adhere to established project management methodologies.
  • Monitor project budgets and manage change requests.
  • Manage third-party vendors and consultants.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and continuous improvement reviews.
  • Organize and lead project teams.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and change management activities.
  • Establish project reporting and executive status updates.
  • Ensure security and privacy requirements are met.
  • Coordinate infrastructure capacity and resource planning with IT leadership.
  • Participate in hardware and software evaluations.
  • Keep current on industry trends and make recommendations to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
  • Strong leadership skills and abilities to mentor and coach all team members to meet all goals and objectives
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, technology management, and internal controls
  • Intuitive grasp of organizational structure in order to manage cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary resource allocation
  • Able to effectively communicate in both technical and user-friendly language when appropriate
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with business units, corporate departments, key managers, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to prepare presentations and conduct meetings for business units and/or Executive Management groups
  • Ability to communicate, track, and document issues and risk mitigation through resolutions
  • Knowledge of system testing, disaster recovery, and system security best practices
  • Ability to independently manage multiple activities at different locations and organize work to meet deadlines
  • Highly effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Persuasive and motivating, with a strong focus on managing consultants

Required Experience
  • 3+ years of direct work experience in the IT project management field
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science of project management, accompanied by project management experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with current and valid PMP designation
  • Preference will be given to candidates with MS M365, MS Azure and/or MS Dynamics 365 experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with manufacturing, ERP, CRM and/or Supply Chain experience
  • General understanding of IT systems, platforms, operational systems, and database programs
  • Demonstrated success in project / program delivery and execution of project management processes
