Job Description:

The LHX Transformation team is seeking a Full-Stack Application Development Manager to lead the design, development, delivery, and operational support of enterprise applications within the Palantir Foundry platform. This role provides both technical and people leadership for a team of application developers responsible for building user-facing applications, workflow-driven tools, and operational solutions that integrate data, business logic, and ontology-driven systems into intuitive, scalable experiences for enterprise users. In addition to leading the team, the manager is expected to serve as a hands-on technical leader by providing architectural guidance, mentoring developers, resolving complex technical challenges, and contributing directly to solution design and development as needed to support delivery priorities.

This position plays a key leadership role in supporting LHX Transformation by driving digital workflow optimization, operational automation, and enterprise-wide decision support. The selected individual will establish technical direction, development standards, and operational plans while partnering with business and IT leaders to deliver scalable, high-quality applications that integrate backend logic, data pipelines, APIs, and ontology objects to modernize business operations across L3Harris.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in full-stack application development, UI/UX design principles, and modern data platforms with proven experience leading technical teams, developing talent, and translating business priorities into intuitive, scalable, user-centered solutions. This individual is passionate about delivering high-quality user experiences and establishing development standards that balance usability, performance, maintainability, and business value.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead, coach, develop, and manage a team of full-stack application developers responsible for delivering enterprise applications within the Palantir Foundry platform.
  • Serve as a hands-on technical leader by providing architectural guidance, mentoring developers, reviewing solution designs, resolving complex technical challenges, and contributing directly to application development when needed to support delivery priorities.
  • Establish technical direction, development standards, coding practices, and application architecture to ensure scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-quality solutions.
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management of user-facing applications, workflows, dashboards, APIs, data pipelines, and ontology-driven solutions.
  • Establish and promote UI/UX design standards and best practices, ensuring applications provide intuitive, accessible, and consistent user experiences while partnering with business stakeholders to continuously improve usability and adoption.
  • Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of application development activities, ensuring alignment with business priorities, operational plans, and delivery commitments.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and IT leadership to define requirements and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of development processes, software engineering practices, application performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead technical problem solving, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex application, data integration, and platform issues spanning multiple business functions.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise standards for security, governance, usability, performance, and reliability.
  • Manage team staffing, performance, coaching, career development, hiring, and resource planning while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performing team culture
  • Communicate technical strategy, project status, delivery risks, and operational performance to leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain application standards, technical documentation, operational procedures, and development best practices while supporting the ongoing evolution of enterprise application and analytics capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with React-style component patterns or comparable front-end frameworks.
  • Experience with ontology modeling and object-driven application logic.
  • Experience with Python for backend automation or processing.
  • Knowledge of enterprise data systems (SAP, Oracle EBS, Costpoint, REST APIs)
  • Experience with AI tools such as OpenAI, Palantir AIP, Snowflake Cortex, or similar.
  • Experience designing workflow automations and operational tools within Foundry.
  • Experience leading application development teams within Palantir Foundry.
  • Experience with enterprise application architecture and ontology-driven solution design.
  • Experience implementing Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent development initiatives and cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation, data modernization, or analytics platform implementations.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $127,500-$236,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $110,500-$205,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
