This position is with HEF USA and TS USA is a global leader in the science of tribology for more than 70 years and offers innovative nitriding surface treatments and PVD coating solutions for corrosion, wear and friction reduction of automotive and industrial machinery components. Today HEF operates 60 facilities throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas, engaged in providing Liquid Nitriding services & chemicals; PVD based coating services; tribology testing services; and supplying engineered sleeve bearings & bushings for demanding industrial applications. Job Overview
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our daily human resources operations. In this role, you will handle clerical duties, assist with recruitment, maintain employee records, and act as a reliable point of contact for staff inquiries. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, handles confidential information with discretion, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate management and Regional Human Resource Manager.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the Regional Human Resource Manager.
  • Process payroll on a weekly basis, answer employee questions, fix processing errors, process garnishments, etc.
  • Help coordinate interviews with management.
  • Assist candidates through the hiring process.
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
  • Maintain employees leave paperwork
  • Manage new hire benefit enrollment and monthly bill reconciliation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and other celebrations.
  • Communicate with management concerning employee issues.
  • Work on special projects as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or bachelor's degree in HR or Business is a plus.
  • At least 1-3 years of human resources or office experience preferred
