Job description

Position Summary

Rx Valet is seeking a proactive, client-focused Account Manager to support the continued growth and success of our Rx Valet PBM division. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned employer groups, brokers, consultants, TPAs, and strategic partners, ensuring an exceptional client experience throughout the customer lifecycle.

The ideal candidate possesses strong relationship management skills, a solid understanding of healthcare or pharmacy benefit management, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional resources to deliver solutions that meet client needs. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, responsiveness, and accountability while serving as the trusted advisor to clients.

The Account Manager will work closely with the National Account Executive and Customer Care Manager, Client Services, Implementation, Pharmacy, and Operations teams to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and growth.


Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned RxV client programs. 
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships through timely communication, effective issue resolution, and operational alignment. 
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of RxV benefit offerings, program implementation, utilization, and performance measures. 
  • Monitor account activity to identify trends, service concerns, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Prepare and deliver routine account performance reports, dashboards, and strategic business reviews. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve claims, billing, eligibility, pharmacy, or service issues affecting the client or its members. 
  • Track applicable service-level agreements and support compliance with RxV contract terms and commitments. 
  • Participate in onboarding and implementation for new accounts, plan additions, and plan changes. 
  • Partner with leadership on client-retention strategies and appropriate expansion opportunities. 
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client communications, decisions, issues, and follow-up activities in the CRM system. 

Account Management & Retention

  • Partner with Pharmacy Operations, Customer Care, Eligibility, and Billing to support consistent service delivery. 
  • Conduct quarterly and annual business reviews that address utilization trends, performance outcomes, and cost savings. 
  • Develop accurate and timely utilization, claims, and financial-performance reports. 
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to validate data and produce clear, client-facing dashboards and insights. 
  • Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations clearly through written reports, presentations, and client briefings. 
  • Contribute to internal process development and documentation that improves operational efficiency and the client experience. 

Client Support & Issue Resolution

  • Coordinate resolution of client inquiries, escalations, and service requests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure prompt and accurate issue resolution.
  • Manage follow-up activities and maintain accountability through completion.
  • Track and report on open-client issues and service commitments.
  • Advocate internally on behalf of clients.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in:
    • Account Management
    • Client Services
    • Employee Benefits
    • Health Insurance (preferred)
  • Experience managing client relationships and resolving complex issues.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience working within a Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM).

  • Manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and priorities while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and appropriate follow-through.
