Job description

Position Summary
Prinsco is seeking a Material Handler who takes pride in keeping materials organized, inventory accurate, and operations running efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and distributing resin materials throughout the facility while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
This position plays a critical role in supporting production by ensuring materials are available when needed and handled correctly from receipt through shipment. The Material Handler reports to the Quality Control Supervisor or Manager, depending on location.
What You'll Do
Material Handling & Inventory Management
  • Receive, unload, and properly store incoming resin materials and other deliveries.
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and load outgoing shipments according to bills of lading and shipping documentation.
  • Label, organize, and maintain resin inventory to support accurate inventory records.
  • Prepare and palletize empty resin boxes for shipment or recycling.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner.
Quality & Process Support
  • Prepare valves and system controls to ensure proper placement of resin materials in storage systems.
  • Collect resin samples according to company quality standards and procedures.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Identify and communicate quality concerns before materials are shipped or used in production.
  • Assist in troubleshooting basic resin blending, loading, and handling equipment issues.
  • Recommend process improvements that support product quality, efficiency, and safety.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
  • Support teammates and assist in other areas of the operation as needed.
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities to build skills and increase operational flexibility.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help drive a culture of operational excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of six months of manufacturing, warehouse, production, or related experience.
  • Ability to read and understand safety procedures, operating instructions, and work processes.
  • Basic math skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • CDL license (required at some locations).
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift and move materials up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Regularly use hands and arms for material handling tasks.
  • Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and maintain depth perception, peripheral vision, and distance vision.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include varying temperatures, outdoor conditions, and elevated noise levels.
