Job description

Job Purpose:
- The Residential Specialist - Shift 1 at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing comprehensive support and assistance to residents within a behavioral health setting. The role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, well-being, and personal development of residents while maintaining a structured and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise residents during assigned shift to ensure safety and adherence to center policies.
- Facilitate and engage residents in daily activities and therapeutic programs to promote personal growth and development.
- Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans by providing support and guidance tailored to each resident's needs.
- Conduct regular room checks and maintain accurate documentation of resident behavior and incidents.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to communicate resident progress and address any concerns.
- Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed to maintain a harmonious living environment.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the living quarters and common areas.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Uphold the confidentiality and dignity of all residents in accordance with organizational and legal standards.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.
