Job description

Job Purpose:
- The Residential Manager II is a senior-level leadership role responsible for the oversight of one or more residential programs or a larger, more complex residential facility. This position ensures the effective delivery of person-centered care, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations for one or more residential programs, ensuring consistent adherence to agency policies, safety protocols, and licensing/regulatory requirements.
- Monitor program performance, staffing, and service delivery to ensure quality outcomes and consumer satisfaction.
- Supervise and mentor Residential Supervisors and/or direct care staff; provide coaching, support, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all program documentation, including incident reports, progress notes, medication logs, audits, and regulatory submissions.
- Monitor compliance with state licensing, Medicaid waiver standards, agency policies, and safety regulations.
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, and staff to address concerns and enhance resident satisfaction.
- Implement and oversee programs and activities that promote resident engagement and well-being.
- Lead internal audits, prepare for licensing inspections, and implement corrective action plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care and facility operations.
- Any other duties as assigned by Leadership
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate or bachelor's degree in human services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field strongly preferred
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CNA, CPR/First Aid, CPI) preferred
Required Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in residential, behavioral health, or developmental disability services
- Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory or program management role
- Experience managing staff teams, supporting individuals with complex behavioral or medical needs, and maintaining regulatory compliance is required
- Experience overseeing multiple sites or programs preferred

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to assess and respond to the needs of residents with empathy and professionalism.
