The House Manager oversees all physical, operational, and administrative aspects of the household to ensure that it runs smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with the organization’s standards. This individual will supervise household employees, manage vendors and maintenance schedules, and ensure the property’s interior and exterior are kept in excellent condition. The role requires strong leadership, discretion, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle a wide range of situations with professionalism.
Responsibilities:
  • Support activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, dressing, eating, and mobility as needed.
  • Promote skills development for independence (e.g., cooking, money management, social skills).
  • Provide structured routines—predictability helps reduce anxiety.
  • Collect, review, and process all paperwork submitted by household employees, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify that all forms, timesheets, and other employment documents are properly signed and dated.
  • Submit required documentation and reports to Program Manager in a timely manner.
  • Maintain organized and confidential personnel and household records, including contracts, maintenance logs, and vendor agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with household policies and applicable employment or safety regulations.
  • Make sure home is well organized and cleaned daily.
  • Monday-Friday 8a-4pm schedule plus take all call outs and find coverage for house. Will be on call.
