Job description

A private household in Naples is seeking an experienced and highly organized Household Assistant to support the daily operations of a large three story luxury single family private residence. The home is fully staffed, including a House Manager and three full-time Housekeepers, along with other household staff.
This is a hands-on support position with responsibilities divided approximately 50% household administration and 50% household and lifestyle support. The ideal candidate is professional, discreet, resourceful, and comfortable working within an established household team while managing changing priorities throughout the day. The original role combines household administration, organization, errands, meal support, scheduling, and general residential assistance.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage household calendars, appointments, reminders, and scheduling using Microsoft Outlook
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with household records, correspondence, and organization
  • Coordinate household appointments, vendors, deliveries, and service providers
  • Run household errands, including dry cleaning, shipping, returns, specialty purchases, and other requests
  • Monitor household inventory and ensure essential supplies are maintained and restocked
  • Grocery shop and assist with maintaining an organized, well-stocked kitchen and pantry
  • Assist with menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and preparation of fresh everyday meals
  • Prepare breakfasts, lunches, salads, snacks, light dinners, and other meals based on household preferences
  • Assist with travel research, reservations, itineraries, and related arrangements
  • Support household organization, decluttering, and special projects
  • Assist with event preparation and occasional household entertaining
  • Provide light care and coordination for two small dogs, including veterinary or grooming appointments when necessary
  • Work closely with the House Manager, Housekeepers, and other household staff to ensure daily needs are handled efficiently
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
  • Remain flexible and assist with additional household responsibilities as priorities change

Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within a private household or other high-service environment
  • Previous private household experience required
  • Strong administrative and household organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Outlook Calendar, Word, and Excel
  • Comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with hands-on household duties
  • Professional appearance required; tattoos must not be visible while on duty.
  • Previous experience with meal preparation and kitchen organization
  • Able to confidently follow recipes and prepare fresh everyday meals
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to anticipate household needs
  • Professional, polished, discreet, and service-oriented
