Residential framers are construction professionals who specialize in building the essential structural framework of homes. They assemble the wooden or metal skeleton of a house, including walls, floors, and roofs, according to blueprints and building codes. Their work is crucial for ensuring the stability and shape of a residential building. Framers use a variety of hand and power tools, and their role often involves reading plans, measuring materials, and making precise cuts. They typically work on new home construction, renovations, and sometimes on additions to existing homes.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a residential framer?

To thrive as a Residential Framer, you need strong knowledge of carpentry, blueprint reading, and construction math, typically gained through apprenticeships or vocational training.
