Their work is crucial for ensuring the stability and shape of a residential building. Framers use a variety of hand and power tools, and their role often involves reading plans, measuring materials, and making precise cuts. They typically work on new home construction, renovations, and sometimes on additions to existing homes.

How to become a residential framer?

To become a residential framer, you typically need to gain experience through an apprenticeship or on-the-job training, develop skills in reading blueprints and using hand and power tools, and often obtain a high school diploma or equivalent.
