Job description

Position Title: Residential Construction Project Manager
Join a respected, employee-owned construction firm specializing in luxury custom homes, historical renovations, and architecturally significant residential projects. As the Residential Construction Project Manager, you will oversee high-end residential builds from preconstruction through completion, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget and meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and client satisfaction. You will work closely with homeowners, subcontractors, field teams, and company leadership while managing project financials, change orders, schedules, and day-to-day execution.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced construction professional who thrives in a client-facing environment, takes ownership of every stage of a project, communicates effectively, and has a proven track record managing luxury residential construction projects independently.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 DOE
Residential Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage luxury residential construction projects from preconstruction through final completion
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, financial performance, and overall execution
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, trades, and field personnel throughout each phase of construction
  • Review, code, and approve project invoices
  • Manage client change orders, pricing, and project modifications
  • Prepare estimates for project changes and additions
  • Monitor project costs and maintain financial accountability
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality, safety, cleanliness, and progress
  • Coordinate closely with office staff and company leadership
  • Communicate project updates with clients and resolve issues proactively
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule while maintaining exceptional quality standards
  • Manage one large custom residential project at a time, typically valued between $2M and $10M+

Residential Construction Project Manager Requirements:
  • 7+ years of high-end residential construction project management experience, with 10+ years preferred
  • Experience managing luxury custom home construction projects from start to finish
  • Experience overseeing projects with budgets of at least $500K
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods and multiple building trades
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Ability to estimate project changes and change orders
  • Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
  • Willingness to travel throughout the regional service area
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with Procore and Foundation software preferred
