Job description

Job Description
This position plays a central role in supporting the faculty and staff of the Biomedical Engineering department and is responsible the execution of all purchasing processes. The position will make decisions and solve problems involving vendor support, pricing and contracted services. She/he will act as liaison to all internal BU financial offices for faculty assigned and with vendors or service contract providers. The position will be responsible for processing and evaluating for compliance with BU and funding agency guidelines faculty and staff reimbursement requests. They will also be responsible for student payroll. The position will also maintain the office appearance, greet and direct visitors, take and relay telephone messages, and provides general information to callers or visitors. The ability to communicate clearly and accurately, and show patience and courtesy when dealing with people is required. The position provides assistance as required to the BME department Financial Managers
Required Skills
Associates degree, B.A./B.S. preferred. One to three years of experience.
