Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete inspection of turns to ensure that performed work meets scope of work as well as company defined quality control standards.
  • Apply a practical knowledge of construction techniques and specifications to each inspection performed ensuring that all renovations conform to local, state and federal building code requirements.
  • Complete general assessments at homes and alert the Property Management team when immediate action is required.
  • Complete repairs in vacant and occupied homes as needed across multiple trades.
  • Properly using and caring for company supplied tools and materials.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Including Education):

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the building and construction field.
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in MS Excel, a must.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and local, state, and federal building codes.
  • Experience in the fields of Public Housing, Real Estate, Building Inspections, Code Enforcement or the equivalent education and experience.
  • The following certifications are preferred but not required:
    OSHA 10
    EPA Certification, Type I and II
    HVAC Certification
    CPO certification (pool)
    Home Inspection Certification
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a process improvement oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a professional manner.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Results-oriented individual with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to perform work that requires climbing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift and or move an excess of 50 lbs or more and properly operate company supplied tools.
