The Bernstein lab is recruiting a Research Technician I/II to perform experiments and support ongoing research under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. 

Responsibilities
  • Tissue culture maintenance 
  • Antibody screening 
  • Multi-color flow cytometry assays 
  • Restock lab supplies and reagents 
  • Learn lab processes and follow directions 
  • Maintain thorough, organized records 
  • Demonstrate initiative to improve skills while contributing to shared research goals 
  • An individual research project will be encouraged 
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Research Technician !:

  • Bachelor's degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated scientific knowledge in the area of study
  • Demonstrated basic laboratory skills

Research Technician II:

  • Bachelor's degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years of experience working in a lab outside of school coursework

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A basic understanding of stem cell biology and antibodies
  • Experience with mammalian cell line culturing, including stem cells and/or PDX models
  • Experience with multi-color flow cytometry
  • Experience with molecular biology techniques including cloning, DNA purification and immunoassays
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Research Technician I: The hourly pay range for this position is from $23.33 to $33.21 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.  

Research Technician II: The hourly pay range for this position is from $27.01 to $38.45 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
