Overview

This position will provide operational oversight for the department related to both basic and clinical research programs, to maintain documents pertaining to research involving human subjects and coordination of data associated with clinical trials. Provide oversight of research and clinical coordinator staff. Provide training and development of staff with primary coordination of research studies and utilize experience and knowledge as a resource to enhance research capabilities of the department.

Responsibilities

• Coordination and maintenance of regulatory documentation.
• Clinical data management (CDM), initiate, lead, and document all CDM activities in the startup, maintenance, and closeout phases of assigned studies.
• Responsible for study project management.
• Personnel lead-level oversight of research coordinator staff.
• Attend/participate in educational programs, unit/department meetings and assigned committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required and 3-5 years experience Clinical trial management and/or in a healthcare related research discipline or
• Master's Degree preferred and 1-2 years experience Clinical trial management and/or in a healthcare related research discipline
• One of the following: Certified Clinical Research Professional, Certified Clinical Research Coordinator, Certified Clinical Research Associate, Assoc of Clinical Research Professionals – Cert Professional required upon hire
• Employees must obtain Certified Clinical Research Professional or equivalent within 365 days
• Employees must obtain Certified Clinical Research Coordinator or equivalent within 365 days
• Employees must obtain Certified Clinical Research Associate or equivalent within 365 days
• Employees must obtain Assoc of Clinical Research Professionals – Cert Professional or equivalent within 365 days

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $28.39/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
