Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Industrial Engineer Data Analytics and Estimation. This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

Job Description / SOW:

  • The Principal Industrial Engineer - Data Analytics & Estimation will serve as a key member of the Production Operations Industrial Engineering team, combining industrial engineering, analytics, automation, and operations knowledge to improve decision-making, reporting, and execution across the organization. This role will lead the development, automation, and sustainment of critical Industrial Engineering and Production Operations metrics, dashboards, and data processes used by leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • This position requires a technically strong individual who can build scalable data solutions, translate operational needs into actionable analytics, and partner effectively with Manufacturing, Operations, Scheduling, Estimating, Finance, HR, and Engineering stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be able to own projects end-to-end, from requirement definition and data acquisition through automation, visualization, documentation, training, and sustainment.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Basic Qualifications

5 Years of experience with Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD

Experience developing and automating dashboards, reports, metrics, or analytics products for operations, manufacturing, industrial engineering, supply chain, or business systems environments.

Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an interim Secret Security level clearance pre-start, with the ability to obtain a final Secret Security level clearance post-start

2+ year of Experience using Python and SQL for data extraction, transformation, automation, and analysis.

2+ Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence / visualization tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

Experience supporting Production Operations, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Scheduling, Estimating, or Supply Chain functions in a complex program environment.

Experience building fully automated dashboards and repeatable data pipelines from source systems through final visualization.

Experience with SQL Server / SSMS, data warehousing concepts, and productionized analytics workflows.

Experience with GitHub or other version-control tools for script and analytics management.

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Excel/VBA, and similar automation / data engineering tools.

Experience with statistical modeling, simulation modeling, capacity analysis, or operations research methods.

Experience with BOEs, actuals analysis, cost estimating methodologies, or TINA-compliant estimating environments.

Experience training or mentoring others in analytics tools, dashboard development, or technical processes.

Experience with ERP/MRP, MES, HR/timekeeping, and financial systems such as SAP or equivalent.

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
