Overview

Job Purpose

The New York Stock Exchange is seeking a Senior Manager to join its Equities Product Development team — a group at the center of NYSE's efforts to drive innovation and growth across US equities and options markets. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership, offering the opportunity to shape the future of trading.

In this role, you will spearhead the group's product strategy roadmap with the goal of driving innovation and growth across NYSE's equities and options business lines. You will work at the intersection of market structure, quantitative research, and cross-functional collaboration — designing innovative methods to drive exchange trading product evolution, identifying key market trends, developing advanced analytics, and unlocking the next growth opportunities for the business and industry. You will help develop appropriate research functionality, leveraging industry best practices and the considerable data and technology resources available within NYSE and ICE. In doing so, you will extend and defend NYSE's leadership position across its cash equity and options trading, listings, and technology businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive parts of the group's product strategy roadmap across NYSE's equities and options business lines, from ideation through execution.

  • Design and build innovative quantitative methods to analyze trading data, model market dynamics, and surface actionable insights that directly inform product development and enhancement.

  • Identify key market structure trends and emerging opportunities — translating research findings into concrete product concepts and strategic recommendations for NYSE's trading, listings, and data businesses.

  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to further develop and refine the product roadmap.

  • Regularly engage with NYSE senior management to present research findings, strategic recommendations, and product proposals.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a record of outstanding academic achievement. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.

  • A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in electronic trading, exchange operations, or other trading research.

  • Excellent understanding of US equity and/or options market structure and limit order book dynamics.

  • Expert proficiency in SQL and Python (other languages a plus).

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau a plus.

  • Ability to work independently, following up with various stakeholders and determining the best course of action as circumstances warrant.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborative nature with strong intellectual curiosity.

New York Base SalaryRange

The expected base salary for this role, iflocated in New York, is between $200,000 – 230,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
