About the Team 

Constellation Schools is seeking a highly qualified Instructional Coach in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Instructional Coach supports teacher growth and student achievement by facilitating state-mandated programs, including RESA and assessments, while providing instructional support, mentoring, and professional development for teachers. This role includes observing classrooms, providing meaningful feedback aligned to established standards, and collaborating with teachers to strengthen instructional practices and promote both academic and professional growth.
The Instructional Coach focuses on practical, research-based strategies that increase student engagement, support technology integration, and use data to drive instructional decisions. Working alongside classroom teachers and school leaders, the coach helps ensure high-quality instruction aligned with the Constellation Schools model and expectations.

About the Opportunity: 

Responsibilities of the Instructional Coach include:

  • Build teacher capacity by providing effective instructional strategies that improve student learning and performance.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to design and implement lessons, instructional units, and assessments that support student growth.
  • Support staff in using current educational research and student data to guide instruction and maximize achievement.
  • Provide mentoring and support to Resident Educators, ensuring compliance with two years of the Resident Educator Program.
  • Instruct and support teachers with curriculum resources, instructional materials, digital platforms, and classroom technologies.
  • Co-teach and model effective instructional practices in classroom settings.
  • Coordinate and assist with the resolution of PowerSchool, iReady and other digital curriculum or assessment-related issues at the building level.
  • Participate in planning and presenting professional development sessions, collaboration days, and in-service events.
  • Provide job-embedded, meaningful professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Support curriculum implementation, assessment maps, and pacing guides where appropriate.
  •  Assist with the identification, selection, and development of instructional resources and training materials to support student growth.
  • Provide support to teachers and students with technology-related needs and seek additional assistance when necessary.
  •  Utilize emerging instructional practices and technology tools to enhance student learning.
  • Recommend professional development opportunities that support teacher growth and Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) requirements.
  • Adhere to the Staff Handbook and all Constellation Schools policies and procedures.
  • Represent the organization professionally and maintain respectful, positive working relationships.
  • Attend organizational meetings, staff meetings, and Constellation events as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality in the performance of all assigned duties.
  • Collaborate with instructional coach colleagues across divisions to support consistency and maximize teacher and student success.
  • Engage in professional dialogue to strengthen relationships and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Introduce new ideas and collaborate with staff to improve instructional practices when needed.
  • Support a positive culture of growth and change by serving as a professional role model.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About You: 

  • Master's degree in Communicative Disorders or equivalent (required)
  • ODE licensure as a speech language pathologist (required)
  • Current State of Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology License (required)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (preferred)
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with students, peers, parents, and community.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications.
  • Accuracy in keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data with attention to detail.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills: able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; able to gather and analyze information skillfully.

  • Dependability: able to be consistently at work and on time, follow instructions, respond to leadership direction and solicit and accept feedback to improve performance.

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education and a current Ohio teaching certificate are required.
  • 3-5 years of classroom teaching experience required.
  • 3-5 teacher mentoring experience preferred.
  • 2 years professional development experience educating teachers or other adults in the integration of technology for instruction and productivity using all of the following modes: modeling, one-on-one, small group, or large group preferred.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications.
  • Ability to use and analyze multiple data points to support teachers in effort to maximize student learning.
  • Accuracy in keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data with attention to detail.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.

The salary range for this position is $52,000.00 - $68,000.00.  Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
