What is a remote landman title?

A Remote Landman Title refers to a professional who researches and analyzes land records, mineral rights, and property ownership from a remote location, rather than working onsite. Their primary duties include verifying land ownership, checking for liens and encumbrances, preparing title reports, and ensuring all documentation complies with legal requirements. Remote Landmen use online databases and digital tools to complete their work, which is especially valuable for oil, gas, and energy companies seeking to acquire or lease land.
