Job description

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Wholesale Relationship Specialist II to join our Wholesale Finance team in Kennesaw, GA. The Wholesale Relationship Manager will be assigned a wholesale territory of dealer accounts and will be responsible for developing effective working relationships with dealer principals and other management and staff. All efforts of the WRM will be led by the Dealer Profit Maximization (DPM) principle and will include maximizing order flow, response to escalated service requests, ensure dealers have adequate credit lines, oversee collection of amounts due, monitor collateral exceptions, proactively identify risk and collaborate with YMFUS leadership on growth and service opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
  • Responsible for oversight of all daily customer service and collection activity in the assigned portfolio
  • Ensure that daily parts and units orders are released timely in assigned portfolio
  • Responsible for oversight of daily AR adjustments, recoding of status items, overlines, unit transfers and other transactions in assigned portfolio, ensuring that submissions are JSOX compliant
  • Provide updates to the various sales teams and to management regarding any wholesale issues that arise due to defaults, overlines or customer service-related issues
  • Responsible for understanding and documenting all status items and making sure that those items are resolved/cleared in accordance with YMFUS risk policy
  • Limit risk in the assigned portfolio by utilizing demand letters and repossessions to address dealer defaults. Make recommendations to management about post-repossession litigation and/ or collection activity
  • When possible, represent the YMFUS wholesale group at dealer events and sales meetings always exemplifying the YMFUS values
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you need to be successful:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the wholesale finance industry
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance or accounting preferred
  • Previous account management experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven track record of providing excellent customer service
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral & written
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial statements a plus
