Role:

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Associate with a strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting, complemented by advanced data analytics and automation skills. This role will support quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables while also helping modernize reporting processes through data engineering, analytics, and visualization. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable preparing tieouts and disclosure support as they are building dashboards, automating reconciliations, and improving data quality across complex datasets.

Responsibilities:

Financial & Regulatory Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of the Company's external financial reporting process, including quarterly and annual reporting (Form 10-Q/K, Form 8-K, proxy statement, and other SEC filings as required), ensuring the highest degree of quality with timely deliverables

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly earnings and management reporting materials, including Audit Committee and Board meeting materials

  • Assist in the preparation of firmwide AUM and fundraise data

  • Assist with tieouts, rollforwards, variance analysis, and validation of data used in external and internal reports.

  • Coordinate with Accounting, Fund Finance, and thirdparty administrators to ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting inputs.

  • Support audit and review processes, including responding to auditor requests and maintaining organized documentation.

  • Assist with disclosure checklists, control documentation, and adherence to internal reporting controls and SOXrelated requirements (where applicable).

Data Analytics & Reporting Innovation

  • Build and maintain repeatable datasets that combine accounting system data, administrator files, and operational metrics used in reporting.

  • Develop dashboards and reporting views (e.g., close status, AUM movements, performance drivers, variance bridges) using BI tools and advanced Excel.

  • Use SQL and/or Python or other similar tools to automate recurring reporting processes, reconciliations, and data validation checks.

  • Identify data inconsistencies and design controls or monitoring logic to improve data integrity, lineage, and auditability.

  • Partner with Technology and Finance stakeholders on enhancements to reporting systems, data pipelines, and reporting tools.

CrossFunctional Partnership

  • Work closely with Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Legal/Compliance, and senior leadership to deliver timely, decisionuseful reporting.

  • Translate complex financial and analytical outputs into clear, concise insights for nontechnical stakeholders.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, scalability, and reporting quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, audit, fund finance, or financial services (Big four or alternative asset management strongly preferred).

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, reporting processes, and accounting fundamentals.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (Power Query / Power Pivot preferred).

  • Familiarity with SEC reporting, GAAP disclosures, or management company reporting.

  • Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fastpaced environment.

  • Exposure to process automation, data governance, or finance transformation initiatives.

  • Experience using modern AI tools a plus, such as prompt-based assistants and workflow automation, to streamline processes and enhance output quality

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New Jersey based position will be $105,000 - $115,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
