The Role:

Blue Owl's Financial Assets Team within Alternative Credit is looking to hire Investment Professionals. The Financial Assets team targets credit-oriented investments in markets underserved by traditional lenders or the broader capital markets, with deep expertise investing across specialty finance, private corporate credit and equipment leasing. This strategy offers differentiated exposure through our extensive sourcing network, asset-based expertise, and ability to underwrite complexity.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on multiple transactions simultaneously across all stages of the investment process, including structuring, investment committee, and ongoing relationship and asset management
  • Develop financial models
  • Conduct due diligence
  • Participate in legal documentation process, including the preparation of term sheets and the negotiation of key terms
  • Manage overall transaction process in partnership with senior investment professionals
  • Mentor and train junior members of the team
  • Contribute to the team's strategic planning and capability building

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a buyside investment role or relevant banking team
  • 2+ years of experience in asset-backed or financial institution credit investing or advisory
  • Strong quantitative skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience with and interest in working on a high functioning team
  • Relationship building

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $125,000 to $175,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
