Job Description

Reports to: Director of Application Development and Analytics

JOB SUMMARY: The Application/Report Developer will work within our existing report system to make enhancements to our standard report module as well as create custom report classes. This will be done by writing stored procedures in SQL server to manipulate data and then creation of classes within VB.net. The VB.net classes will utilize the Microsoft Office COM libraries/ interop assemblies to output data into formatted Excel reports or as text files. In addition to implementing the reports requested, the Application/Report Developer will also aid the team in report/template design as well as interpreting the deliverables.

Light database design will be required. The ability to handle multiple assignments is needed.

Adhoc querying of data for quick analysis will also be requested at times.

 ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in physical and logical database design

Maintain and create stored procedures in Microsoft SQL server

Experience in full-life cycle design including back-end database design and build as well as the system navigation and design of user interface.

Develop internal applications

Creates well designed, reusable objects.

Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to translate user requirements/mockups into reports that are extensible and maintainable

Ability to work in an unstructured environment while building best practices and process improvements.

Opportunity to work with senior level developers to expand technical skill set to include web development

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Education: BS in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related degree with 2-4 years of development experience.
