Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement individualized support packages addressing students' specific emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Conduct thorough interviews with students and assess their current psychological condition, strengths, needs, and coping strategies.
• Develop tailored, measurable goals for each case, focusing on enhancing coping mechanisms and life skills.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, modifying treatment plans and strategies in response to their evolving needs.
• Provide evidence-based counseling and recommendations during sessions, guiding students toward optimal courses of action.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of client interactions, statuses, and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in case conferences, effectively communicating findings and contributing to collaborative treatment plans with multidisciplinary teams.
• Establish and nurture trusting, professional relationships with students and staff, acting as a key-worker and advocate for mental health initiatives.
• Facilitate referrals to community services and resources that support student recovery and personal development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on students within academic settings, targeting adolescents who experience stressors such as academic pressures, social dynamics, and mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, or behavioral issues. You will strive to create inclusive and affirming spaces for students of diverse backgrounds, ensuring that all clients receive personalized attention and culturally sensitive care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in social work (MSW), psychology, or sociology.
• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification in the state of Georgia.
• Strong knowledge of social theories and practices related to adolescent mental health.
• Proven experience as a social worker, particularly with youth or in a school setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a high degree of social perceptiveness and empathy.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining therapeutic relationships effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and relate to a diverse student population.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and maintain professional standards.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in educational settings, particularly in school mental health programs.
• Familiarity with databases and software related to client management and record-keeping.
• Experience participating in multidisciplinary teams focused on student wellness and behavioral strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
