The role provides a remote work setting with the flexibility needed to maintain a healthy work-life balance. While our core hours are between 7 am and 10 pm seven days a week, we understand the importance of flexibility to accommodate our cliniciansโ€™ schedules. Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and identify personalized treatment approaches.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that encourage trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies tailored to each patientโ€™s needs.
  • Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to enhance patient coping mechanisms.
  • Delivering engaging individual and group therapy sessions that help patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote holistic healing.
  • Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure integrated, comprehensive care for all patients.
  • Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, appropriate coping strategies, and available resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participating in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care and continuous learning.
  • Staying informed about the latest research, best practices, and advancements in trauma therapy to provide the highest standard of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of families, children, and adolescents coping with trauma and other mental health challenges. As part of your role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with clients from various backgrounds, offering support and guidance tailored to their unique experiences and needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution, providing the foundational knowledge necessary for effective therapeutic practice.
  • A current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Illinois, confirming your eligibility to practice independently.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities, enabling you to provide effective interventions.

Preferred Experience
