This is a remote position.

Summary: The Workforce Group, a LEMOINE company, is seeking Travel Logistics Coordinators to plan, coordinate and document field travel for a federal human services program serving vulnerable youth, young adults, and families. This role supports nationwide, field-based operations by organizing efficient travel and routing, controlling travel costs, and maintaining accurate, audit-ready travel records that support reimbursable travel documentation and invoicing. Travel is coordinated in compliance with the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR). The coordinator works closely with dispatch, field operations, and finance to ensure travel aligns with assigned cases, authorized budgets, and contract requirements while supporting timely completion of field work.

Location: Remote

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate travel planning, routing, lodging, ground transportation, mileage, and field deployment sequencing for field personnel performing nationwide site visits and wellness observations.
  • Optimize regional routing and trip batching to reduce travel costs and improve case timeliness.
  • Maintain complete, accurate travel records and documentation required for Federal Travel Regulation (FTR)-compliant reimbursable travel and invoice support.
  • Collect, organize, and track receipts, itineraries, mileage logs, and supporting travel documentation.
  • Monitor travel activity against authorized budgets and applicable CLIN limits; identify and flag cost exceptions or anomalies.
  • Support short-notice schedule changes, rebooking, and redeployment logistics as field conditions change.
  • Maintain travel logs and backup needed for invoice preparation, production reconciliation, and audits.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, field operations, regional field supervisors, finance/billing, and QA/QC to keep travel aligned with case assignments.
  • Enter and maintain required travel and logistics data in designated systems within required timeframes.
  • Protect sensitive information and comply with all confidentiality, privacy, information security, and standards-of-conduct requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum two (2) years of experience in travel coordination, logistics, dispatch, scheduling, program operations support, or similar work required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations, supply chain, or a related field is strongly preferred. Experience applying the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) and using government travel or expense systems is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with travel booking, expense documentation, and detailed record keeping.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and scheduling/tracking tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare accurate and timely documentation.
  • Ability to complete required federal, client, and company training prior to assignment.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a government security background investigation, including a favorable credit check.
  • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check after accepting a conditional offer.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

This position primarily operates in a remote or operational hub, coordinating travel and logistics for field personnel deployed across urban, suburban, and rural areas nationwide. Work schedule varies based on case assignments, geographic routing, and operational needs. Occasional extended hours may be required during surge periods or short-notice schedule changes.

Federal Contract Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment screening requirements, including background checks, drug screening, motor vehicle records review, reference checks and other job-related screening requirements. Employment is also contingent upon successful completion of required federal background/suitability review, favorable credit check, security processing, and program-specific onboarding before beginning work.

Employees assigned to this program must complete required training, protect sensitive information, comply with standards of conduct, maintain professional boundaries, and follow all reporting, confidentiality, privacy, and information security requirements. Employees may be required to sign confidentiality, non-disclosure, conflict-of-interest, and standards-of-conduct acknowledgments.
