Job description

Job Title: FP&A Manager (R&D) Location: Lakewood, CO Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $107,000.00 - $134,900.00 Work Model: Hybrid โ€“ onsite and remote

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for global R&D organization, ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and decision support
  • Serve as primary finance partner to R&D leadership, providing insights on investment, risk, speed-to-market, and cost management
  • Manage R&D FP&A activities including operating expense and headcount planning, capital and investment tracking, and ROI analysis
  • Guide R&D leaders through scenario analysis, planning assumptions, and trade-offs to align with enterprise financial objectives
  • Develop models to assess financial impacts, capacity utilization, and risk exposure across R&D projects and pipelines
  • Lead, coach, and develop Financial Analysts supporting R&D, setting expectations for excellence and analytical rigor
  • Deliver clear and actionable financial reports to FP&A leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Drive continuous process improvement and partner with corporate FP&A on standardization and system enhancements
Requirements
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance roles
  • Experience partnering with R&D teams
  • Experience working in a regulated industry
  • Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization
  • Expert-level financial planning, forecasting, and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of R&D cost structures, portfolio economics, and capitalization concepts
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through complexity
  • Demonstrated leadership, judgment, and accountability mindset
