We believe that innovation isn’t just about technology—it’s about the people, culture, and purpose that make it happen. Every Switch team member contributes to a mission greater than themselves: to create the world’s most advanced digital infrastructure that powers the progress of humanity.

The Role: Network Infrastructure Manager

This role leads the day-to-day performance of the Network Infrastructure team. You are accountable for service quality, team execution, and adherence to established standards in a mission-critical data center environment. The role balances people leadership with operational oversight to ensure reliable delivery of customer connectivity services.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as an escalation point for service-impacting infrastructure issues.

  • Plan and maintain team schedules to support 24/7/365 operational demands.

  • Define, track, and analyze operational metrics and KPIs to improve performance.

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce policies and procedures that support safe, efficient operations.

  • Ensure operational readiness through training plans, mentorship, and continuity planning.

  • Review quality assurance results and address gaps in execution or documentation.

  • Oversee work order execution, including coordination of required equipment and resources.

  • Partner with other operations, engineering, and support teams to align priorities and apply best practices.

  • Prepare operational documentation and reports for leadership.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning in coordination with senior leadership.

  • Lead by example and foster a respectful, accountable work environment.

What We’re Looking For
  • A people manager who can balance operational demands with team development.

  • Strong judgment during service-impacting events and escalations.

  • Clear, direct communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Comfort making decisions in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.

  • Consistent follow-through and accountability.

What You’ll Bring
  • Experience managing technical teams in a data center, network infrastructure, or telecommunications environment.

  • Working knowledge of structured cabling, fiber infrastructure, power systems, and network hardware installations.

  • Ability to interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings.

  • Experience defining metrics, managing schedules, and meeting operational deadlines.

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, monitoring tools, and operational reporting.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed.

Why Switch?
