Inpatient Psychiatrist - St. Charles Parish Hospital, Luling, LA
Ochsner Health - Psychiatry, Behavioral Health
Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist. The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive mental health care for patients, covering 15 beds on an inpatient unit, overseeing psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning. Responsibilities include prescribing and managing medications, leading therapeutic interventions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring continuity of care from admission through discharge. The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, acute care environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and well-being.

Position Highlights:

Full-Time, Monday through Friday

Work with multi-disciplinary teams that include APPs, social workers, nurses, other clinical staff

Collaborate with other programs such as Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Med/Psych BHU

Advance innovations in patient care through use of ketamine treatments and other evidence-based offerings
