Workday Security Analyst (HCM)
Location: Remote allowed in the following states: AL, AZ, AR, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, LA, MS, MO, MT, NC, OH, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WY
Department: Information Technology / HRIS
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary
We are seeking a Workday Security Analyst to support and maintain security within our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) environment. This role will be responsible for configuring security roles, maintaining access controls, supporting audits, and partnering with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to ensure secure and efficient system operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and maintain Workday security groups, domains, and business process security policies.
  • Manage user access and role assignments across All Workday modules.
  • Perform regular security audits and access reviews.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Workday security-related issues.
  • Support compliance, governance, and data privacy requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and IT stakeholders to implement security enhancements.
  • Document security configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Evaluate Workday releases and identify potential security impacts.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of Workday experience with a focus on security administration.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Security Groups.
    • Domain Security Policies.
    • Business Process Security.
    • User-Based and Role-Based Security.
  • Experience supporting Workday HCM modules such as Recruiting, Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Workday Security or Workday HCM certification.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, academic, or large enterprise organizations.
  • Knowledge of SOX, HIPAA, audit controls, or segregation of duties.
  • Experience with Workday reporting and integrations.
