PharMerica is seeking a detail-oriented and operationally strong Workforce Management Scheduling Senior Manager to own the pharmacy operations workforce execution and optimization product and manage the four-person product scheduling team. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end scheduling strategy, intraday schedule management through the team, and executing workforce optimization using the Verint Workforce Management tool and Verint Operations Manager deployment.

The Manager will partner closely with Senior Pharmacy Operations Leadership, HR, and Analytics teams to drive optimal staffing coverage, schedule efficiency, and real-time adherence to service across pharmacy operations.

This role oversees execution, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of scheduling practices, while leveraging workforce management technology, automation, and reporting to improve accuracy, efficiency, and workforce utilization.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Workforce Management experience in scheduling, intraday management, or workforce operations with 3+ years of Workforce Management direct leadership experience

Responsibilities
  • Owns the end-to-end scheduling process for pharmacy operations, including long-term schedule planning, daily schedule optimization, and intraday adjustments using the Verint Workforce Management product
  • Manages real-time schedule adherence, staffing adjustments, and intraday workforce decisions to meet operational demand and service level targets through the scheduling team
  • Utilizes Verint Operations Manager to monitor real-time performance, queue health, and staffing alignment across pharmacy workflow
  • Manages shift bids, time-off requests, exceptions, and schedule exceptions in alignment with business rules and labor requirements through the scheduling team
  • Drives adherence and attendance management processes in collaboration with Operations leadership through the scheduling team
  • Monitors key KPIs including schedule adherence, shrinkage, occupancy, service levels, and productivity metrics
  • Identifies scheduling inefficiencies and implement process improvements to increase coverage accuracy and operational efficiency through the scheduling team
  • Supports configuration and maintenance of scheduling rules, queues, and operational parameters within Verint (in partnership with system administrator)
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Pharmacy Operations, HR and IT to ensure scheduling alignment with business needs through the scheduling team
  • Supports reporting and analysis efforts by delivering scheduling insights, trends, and recommendations to senior Pharmacy Operations leadership
  • Ensures compliance with labor policies, pharmacy operational requirements, and workforce governance standards
  • Participates in workforce management initiatives such as process improvements, tool enhancements, and operational standardization
  • Leading the scheduling team through career development and execution to workforce management deliverables
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Healthcare Administration, Workforce Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of Workforce Management experience in scheduling, intraday management, or workforce operations
  • 3+ years of Workforce Management direct leadership experience
  • Deep understanding of WFM platforms and telephony systems; Verint preferred
  • Strong understanding of scheduling principles including shrinkage, staffing ratios, service levels, and adherence management
  • Experience in real-time workforce monitoring and intraday decision-making
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and trends
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment (pharmacy, healthcare, or contact center preferred)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field
  • Prior pharmacy or healthcare operations experience
  • Exposure to predictive analytics, automation, or AI-assisted workforce tools
  • Experience with Verint Operations Manager
