What we expect... (Essential Functions)
  • Design and develop advanced reports and dashboards using Power BI, applying best practices in storytelling and user experience.
  • Perform code and report reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to team standards.
  • Lead training sessions for end users, empowering them to utilize reports and self-service analytics effectively.
  • Monitor Power BI feature releases and updates, integrating new functionalities into team workflows.
  • Design and implement complex data models using star schema principles to optimize performance and scalability.
  • Apply advanced DAX techniques to create dynamic and calculated measures for complex reporting needs.
  • Utilize advanced features of Tabular Editor 3 to optimize data models and reporting workflows.
  • Contribute to database design discussions, working with Data Engineers to align structures with reporting requirements.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues in data pipelines, models, and reports to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity, actively seeking and driving clarity where needed, and be adaptable to change.

Professional Development and Continuous Learning
  • Required to complete advanced DAX training, such as the Mastering DAX course.
  • Actively work toward advanced certifications, such as PL-300 (Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst).
  • Continue refining storytelling and visualization techniques to deliver compelling insights.
  • Expand knowledge in integrating Power BI with other platforms and tools, such as Power Automate or Azure.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, with substantial professional experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including report design, data modeling, and DAX.
  • Strong understanding of star schema design and database principles.
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying and transforming complex data sets.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior team members and conduct peer code and report reviews.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with experience collaborating across teams and stakeholders.
  • Master's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, with substantial professional experience in data analysis and reporting.
