Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, employing clinical evaluation tools and techniques.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that align with each clientโ€™s unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals, ensuring a person-centered approach to care.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care practices, fostering a deeper understanding of their mental health.
  • Monitor and track client progress through regular check-ins, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients, sharing insights and strategies to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Remain informed about the latest research and developments related to mood disorders to refine and improve treatment strategies continually.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring quality of care and accountability.
  • Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Advocate for clients' mental health needs and address stigma in the community, promoting awareness and understanding of mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will work closely with clients who often face significant life challenges, such as homelessness, trauma, and adverse life experiences. Your expertise will be critical in providing the support and guidance these clients need to navigate their mental health journeys and achieve long-lasting recovery.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Demonstrated empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients' experiences and challenges.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle diverse workloads and administrative responsibilities efficiently.
Preferred Experience
