Job description

About the Role

We're looking for a product leader who is obsessed with how people discover, engage with, and return to content.

Reporting directly to the CEO with a dotted line to the CTO, you'll own the Wolf Games Vaultthe consumer-facing platform where users discover, access, and return to personalized experiences over time. You'll help answer one of the company's most important questions: how do we turn first-time visitors into engaged, returning users?

This role sits at the intersection of consumer product, audience growth, personalization, retention, and platform strategy. You'll work closely with Engineering, Creative, and Leadership to shape how experiences are surfaced, how users navigate the Vault, and how publisher partners bring Wolf-powered experiences to their own audiences.

You'll own the systems that drive discovery, engagement, personalization, and repeat visitation across the Vault. You'll define what gets measured, identify where users drop off, and build the experiences that turn first-time visitors into recurring users.

This is not a game design role. You won't design gameplay mechanics, progression systems, puzzles, or reward structures. Instead, you'll own the platform layer that connects users to experiences and helps them develop an ongoing relationship with the Wolf ecosystem.

We're looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves experimentation, and has experience building products that people choose to come back to again and again.

What You'll Do
  • Own the Vault Product. You'll own the end-to-end product experience for the Wolf Games Vaultthe platform where users discover, access, and return to experiences over time. You'll define how content is organized, surfaced, and experienced across both Wolf-owned and publisher-branded environments, ensuring the Vault becomes a destination users want to revisit.
  • Drive Discovery & Engagement. Design and optimize the systems that help users find relevant experiences and encourage repeat visitation. You'll identify opportunities to improve onboarding, content discovery, navigation, recommendations, and audience engagement, using behavioral data to understand what drives continued use of the platform.
  • Lead Personalization Strategy. Partner closely with Engineering and Creative to shape how personalization is delivered throughout the Vault experience. You'll help define how personalized content is surfaced, ensure users perceive meaningful relevance, and establish the metrics and experiments needed to measure personalization's impact on engagement and retention.
  • Build the Publisher Platform. Help define and evolve the white-label Vault product used by media, entertainment, and publishing partners. You'll work cross-functionally to create scalable partner experiences that preserve each publisher's brand while delivering measurable audience value and long-term engagement.
  • Define Success Through Data. Develop the measurement frameworks, instrumentation, and experimentation strategy needed to understand user behavior across the Vault. You'll establish key success metrics, identify friction points and drop-off patterns, and provide clear, data-driven insights that help the company validate assumptions, prioritize investments, and make informed product decisions.
What Success Looks Like

In Your First 30 Days:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Vault experience, user journey, and publisher ecosystem
  • Audit existing engagement, retention, and discovery metrics
  • Identify key opportunities and gaps in how users discover and return to content

In Your First 60 Days:

  • Establish a clear framework for measuring user engagement and retention across the Vault
  • Define priorities for personalization, discovery, and publisher-facing experiences
  • Launch initial experiments to improve user engagement and repeat visitation

In Your First 90 Days:

  • Deliver actionable insights into user behavior and retention drivers
  • Build alignment around a product roadmap informed by user data and business priorities
  • Establish clear success metrics and reporting for the Vault product
What We're Looking For
  • Consumer Product Mindset. You have experience building products that attract, engage, and retain users over time. You're curious about user behavior and motivated by understanding what drives discovery, engagement, and repeat usage.
  • Product Ownership & Execution. You're comfortable owning a product area from strategy through execution. You can identify opportunities, define priorities, align stakeholders, and drive initiatives from concept to launch in fast-moving environments.
  • Data-Informed Decision Making. You know how to use data to guide decisions without becoming captive to it. You can define success metrics, design experiments, interpret user behavior, and make thoughtful tradeoffs in the face of uncertainty.
  • Personalization & Recommendation Thinking. You understand the powerand complexityof helping users find the right content at the right time. Whether through personalization, recommendations, search, feeds, or discovery systems, you've worked on products that connect users with relevant experiences.
  • Platform & Ecosystem Mindset. You can think beyond a single user journey and understand how products operate within broader ecosystems. You're comfortable balancing the needs of end users, business stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership. You collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, analysts, creatives, and executives. You communicate clearly, build alignment across teams, and know how to move initiatives forward without relying on formal authority.
  • Intellectual Honesty. You're willing to challenge assumptionsincluding your own. You care more about learning what's true than proving you're right, and you're comfortable using evidence to guide decisions even when the answers are unexpected.
Ideal Background
  • 5+ years of experience building and scaling consumer-facing digital products as a Product Manager, Growth Product Manager, or Product Leader
  • Experience owning a content platform, feed, portal, discovery surface, recommendation system, or audience product
  • Experience improving engagement, retention, discovery, or user growth through product initiatives
  • Strong understanding of product analytics, experimentation, A/B testing, and behavioral metrics
  • Experience working with recommendation systems, personalization, search, content discovery, or audience engagement products
  • Experience owning KPIs related to engagement, retention, activation, or audience growth
  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and Business stakeholders to deliver product outcomes
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving startup environments with evolving priorities and limited structure
Particularly Relevant Backgrounds
  • Content platforms (YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, Medium, Substack, news/media products)
  • Consumer apps with strong engagement or retention components
  • Marketplace and discovery-driven products
  • Audience growth and engagement platforms
  • Creator economy, publishing, or media technology products
  • Recommendation, personalization, search, or feed-based experiences
  • White-label, embedded, or partner-facing platform products
Nice to Have
  • Gaming or interactive entertainment experience
  • Mobile-first consumer product experience
  • Experience launching products through publisher, media, or distribution partnerships
  • Experience building products that serve both end users and business partners
