Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Remote with ability to travel up to 25%
Required:
Experience in PLC programming, preferably Schneider Electric platforms (11+ years);
Experience with Modbus, DNP3, and industrial communication protocols
Experience with Ignition SCADA platform and HMI development
Experience with power systems and utility-scale energy project
Experience in utility-scale renewable energy or power generation projects
Experience with BESS control systems, inverters, and energy storage technologies
Experience with grid interconnection requirements and utility standards
Experience with FAT/SAT testing procedures and commissioning protocols
Experience with PPA, LGIA, and OEM testing completion
Ability to travel up to 25% for project commissioning support
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Preferred:
NERC CIP cybersecurity experience
Responsibilities:
Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems, primarily using Schneider Electric platforms, to support utility-scale renewable energy and power generation projects.
Develop and integrate control systems using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and DNP3, ensuring reliable data exchange across power system components.
Configure and maintain Ignition SCADA systems and HMI applications to provide real-time monitoring, control, and visualization of plant operations.
Support BESS control systems, inverters, and energy storage technologies, ensuring proper integration with plant-level and grid-level controls.
Ensure compliance with grid interconnection requirements, utility standards, PPAs, LGIAs, and OEM testing requirements throughout project development and commissioning.
Lead and support FAT/SAT testing procedures and commissioning protocols, including on-site travel (up to 25%) to validate system performance and operational readiness.
Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and project teams to implement secure and reliable control architectures, including adherence to NERC CIP standards when applicable.
