**While this role is 100% remote, we are ideally seeking an Atlanta based candidate to participate in team meetups this team participates in just 2 days per month.  We will consider consider applicants from the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.**  


The Informatics Pharmacist (Willow reporting focus) will be part of the enterprise analytics team, supporting clinical reporting for laboratory systems. This role partners closely with clinicians and operational leaders to identify meaningful KPIs and develop actionable reporting solutions.  The position primarily focuses on the Epic Cogito clinical data model, with a strong emphasis on pharmacy reporting within the Epic Willow module. The developer will design and build Epic Radar and Power BI dashboards, along with other analytical reports, to support clinical and operational decision-making.  This role is highly collaborative and customer-facing. The developer will regularly engage with business stakeholders through meetings, presentations, and video calls to gather requirements, provide insights, and deliver reporting solutions. As such, this position requires strong communication skills and a consultative approach, rather than functioning solely as a backend developer.  While this role is 100% remote, we are ideally seeking an Atlanta based candidate to participate in team meetups just 2 days per month.  We will consider consider applicants from the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.  
 RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for all stages of the business intelligence development lifecycle: understanding the business objective, collecting business requirements and translating them into data requirements, designing and developing reports or dashboards, scheduling and deployment of business intelligence components in accordance with best practices, and completing accurate and timely documentation.
  • Collaborates with business and technology departments to understand system data and its use, data analysis and validation, and provides support around the data and how it is integrated.
  • Functions as business partner with service lines, departments, individuals, and coworkers.
  • Develops advanced knowledge of system capabilities, applications, and processes to function effectively as an educator and expert for system users.
  • Participates actively in routine meetings with department heads and/or superusers to identify, document, and prioritize their needs.
  • Meets with business analysts and report requesters to understand their data needs.
  • Identifies and reviews the appropriate technological solutions for various reporting needs.
  • Creates reports to display Clarity and Caboodle data.
  • Writes SQL and configures Radar settings for custom SQL metrics.
  • Modifies existing reports, as necessary.
  • Distributes Clarity and Caboodle reports to report consumers.
  • Reviews peer reports for validity.
  • Tests report build in a specified testing environment and volume tests in live environments.
  • Reviews upgrade documentation related to Clarity and Caboodle features and determining how to implement the changes.
  • BIDs might also be responsible for building and maintaining: Cubes, Extracts, SlicerDicer custom filters, Third-party BI tools.
  • Provides assessment, coordination, documentation, release note review, testing, and implementation of programming, upgrade, and project requests. Maintains strong and positive relationships with all application vendors.
  • Provides project management services and support with some senior staff oversight.
  • Ensures compliance with EHC IS, EHC, Joint Commission, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Provides system solutions in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Follows prescribed change management and time reporting processes and documentation requirements.
  • Assists in queue management to be sure calls are answered and followed up on efficiently.
  • Remains current on Epic new version training for all applicable Epic certifications (if Epic).
  • Ideal candidate will have the Epic Cogito certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Epic Certifications - Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle
  • Epic Willow experience or Certification
  • Experience working as a pharmacist
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy (BS or PharmD Degree), and hold an active, unencumbered state licensure issued by the Board of Pharmacy.
  • Two years hospital pharmacy experience or PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency.
  • Completion of an accredited PGY1 Residency and a PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in an academic medical center environment preferred.
  • Epic Analyst experience is preferred.
