• Develop and implement tailored therapy strategies that align with the individual needs of each client, conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations as necessary to inform treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that each session is guided by best practices in counseling.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy, adapting your approach for effectiveness.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to client care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation while adhering to ethical and legal standards in accordance with state regulations.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and trainings to stay current on emerging trends and research in the field of mental health.

As an LPC with Family First Wellness, you will serve a diverse client base, including individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds who may have limited access to traditional mental health services. Your role is crucial in addressing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. You will also focus on family dynamics and couple relationships, providing support that fosters familial healing and better communication within relationships.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted LPC license in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical environment.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards, coupled with a commitment to ongoing compliance.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills suitable for building rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technological tools for documentation.

• Experience in specialized areas such as family therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use recovery is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities that can be adapted for individual client needs is advantageous.

• Annual salary in the range of USD $70,000 to $90,000, based on your experience and caseload.
