Work Environment

This remote position is designed to provide counselors with the tools needed for successful practice through telehealth. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs, developing individualized therapy plans tailored to their specific situations and challenges.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Facilitate group, family, and couples therapy sessions, ensuring a collaborative and safe environment conducive to growth and healing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing EMR software to streamline records management.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training sessions to stay informed on the latest mental health practices and theories.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and support for diverse client needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Family First Wellness, you will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Many of our clients face unique challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse issues, often with limited access to traditional mental health services. Your empathetic approach will help address these challenges and empower clients to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience is essential, providing a foundation for effective client interactions.
• Strong knowledge of legal and ethical counseling standards is crucial for maintaining professional integrity.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, showcasing flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technologies for efficient practice management.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse is highly preferred, enhancing your ability to meet client needs more effectively.
• Experience providing telehealth services, particularly during the recent shift towards virtual care, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
