Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to understand patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans that promote recovery and personal growth.
• Utilize evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, delivering effective treatment to individuals, couples, and families.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups that empower clients through knowledge and shared experiences, fostering a sense of community and connection.
• Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinicians to ensure an integrated approach to mental health care, enhancing treatment outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, offering immediate support and stabilization during mental health emergencies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with state and federal regulations while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Strong assessment skills with a proven ability to formulate comprehensive and impactful treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to ethical practice and professionalism.
• Familiarity with EHR systems to manage patient documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience as a mental health therapist is required, candidates with experience in teletherapy or remote counseling are particularly encouraged to apply. Familiarity with group therapy techniques and an understanding of community resources for patient referrals will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
