Position Overview

The Latinx Talk Therapy & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time remote role. In this position, you will play a critical role in improving the emotional and psychological well-being of our clients. Your expertise in clinical social work will allow you to provide essential support and guidance as part of a holistic care approach, contributing significantly to our mission of fostering mental and emotional health within the community.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong team-focused culture. The role involves engaging with clients primarily through telehealth platforms, minimizing barriers to access and providing comfort in the familiar setting of their homes. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists and counselors, ensuring a multi-faceted approach to client care. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed psychosocial assessments to identify clients' emotional, social, and financial needs, developing tailored treatment plans accordingly.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients address issues related to anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, grief, and coping strategies.
  • Engage in crisis intervention, offering immediate support and developing coping strategies for clients facing acute emotional distress.
  • Coordinate post-discharge services, working closely with community organizations and ensuring that clients have access to ongoing support and resources.
  • Provide education to clients and their families about treatment options, mental health resources, and self-care practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, including training sessions and workshops, to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and client interactions in compliance with legal and confidentiality standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus primarily on serving the Latinx community, addressing culturally specific mental health concerns and overcoming barriers to care. You will support a diverse client base, ranging from individuals struggling with personal issues to families navigating systemic challenges related to their cultural and socio-economic contexts. Your role is crucial in fostering resilience and promoting mental health awareness in underserved populations.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders, therapeutic techniques, and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Proficient in teletherapy methodologies and able to effectively utilize technology platforms for client engagement.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience within a healthcare setting, particularly with marginalized communities.
  • Experience in group therapy sessions and skills in facilitating supportive groups for various mental health needs.
