We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for a full-time position at Inner Peace Oasis, a community health clinic based in Ellicott City, Maryland. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively establish therapeutic goals with clients and monitor their progress throughout the treatment process.
  • Provide teletherapy options for clients requiring virtual sessions to enhance accessibility to mental health services.
  • Maintain ethical standards through accurate documentation and record-keeping that aligns with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and remain informed on innovative therapeutic practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves individuals and families experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will work closely with clients seeking to overcome personal obstacles and improve their mental wellness, playing a significant role in their journeys towards recovery and healthier relationships.

Qualifications
  • Active and valid LMFT license in the state of Maryland.
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients' experiences and challenges.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to efficiently manage your caseload and associated administrative tasks.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in a clinical or community health setting is preferred. Familiarity with trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and group therapy techniques will be highly valued. Additionally, an interest in or experience working with addiction treatment can provide added benefit to our clientele.
