In this vital role, you will provide essential counseling services to clients grappling with co-occurring disorders, helping to guide them on their journey to recovery. Your expertise will be pivotal in formulating treatment plans and promoting long-term recovery within a supportive therapeutic environment.

About the Organization

Premier Counseling & Wellness Services is a nationally recognized leader in addiction treatment services, committed to making a positive impact on the lives of over 25,000 patients each day. Our mission is clear: to remove all barriers to recovery, ensuring that individuals, families, and communities receive the effective treatment they need to thrive. We believe that by providing comprehensive care, we are not just treating patients but also restoring lives and communities.

Work Environment

This position is set within a remote work environment, allowing you the flexibility to engage with clients from the comfort of your home while maintaining a strong connection with the team. As part of our community health clinic, you will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals committed to delivering high-quality care. Our organization promotes a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement, ensuring that your professional growth and well-being are prioritized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' counseling needs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their unique circumstances.
  • Utilize the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria to accurately assess clients for substance use disorders and determine appropriate levels of care in alignment with ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) guidelines.
  • Craft and implement the substance abuse counseling segment of individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Develop detailed discharge and continuum of care plans to facilitate seamless transitions between various levels of treatment.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all counseling services provided, including assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up activities within the client's clinical records.
  • Manage an active caseload, keeping all case management and utilization review updates current to support effective treatment progress.
  • Coordinate with support services for clients and their families, ensuring that all services delivered are documented appropriately.
  • Engage with referral sources—such as legal entities, schools, and employers—to facilitate a supportive network for the client.
  • Provide crisis intervention and facilitate needed interventions through a multidisciplinary team approach.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will center on providing compassionate care to clients experiencing co-occurring disorders, including mental health issues coupled with substance use challenges. You will focus on empowering individuals and families through personalized therapy, fostering resilience and promoting recovery in a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications
  • A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of treatment methodologies for substance use disorders and experience with crisis intervention strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and an understanding of diverse populations.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while maintaining professional boundaries.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a remote setting, providing telehealth services.
  • A background in addiction treatment or experience with co-occurring disorders.
  • Proficiency with commonly used electronic health record (EHR) systems for clinical documentation.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • 18 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually.
  • 401(k) plan with company matching contributions.
  • Access to ongoing training and certification opportunities funded by the company.
  • A full range of health benefits, covering medical, dental, and vision, as well as short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • The Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP).
  • Educational benefits, including discounted tuition and scholarships through Capella University.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Premier Counseling & Wellness Services, we are committed to supporting our employees’ professional development. You will have access to ongoing training, certification programs, and opportunities to advance within our organization as we expand our services and reach more communities.
