We are seeking passionate and dedicated licensed mental health therapists (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our innovative team at the Wellness Care Psychological Center. This full-time position, available in a remote telehealth setting, allows you to leverage your expertise in mental health to make a significant impact on the well-being of our diverse client base.

Wellness Care Psychological Center is a reputable outpatient psychiatric practice headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia. This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexible integration into your daily routine while serving patients through telehealth platforms. Our therapists work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Our telehealth facility is supported by advanced technology to ensure seamless interactions and high-quality care delivery.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs of patients and collaborate with them to create effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and other modalities tailored to the client’s needs.
• Lead psychoeducational workshops and support groups to foster community and provide vital resources for individuals dealing with similar mental health issues.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Provide crisis intervention services to help clients during periods of acute distress or psychiatric emergencies.
• Educate patients about mental health challenges, treatment strategies, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Maintain diligent and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
• Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights and learning from fellow professionals.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in mental health research and therapeutic practices to enhance treatment quality.

As a therapist at Wellness Care Psychological Center, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including those experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse issues. Our patient population is varied, encompassing individuals from different backgrounds and age groups, which enhances the richness of the therapeutic environment and the necessity for culturally sensitive approaches in treatment.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• A current and valid license to practice as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Virginia.
• A strong foundation in mental health diagnoses, evidence-based therapies, and comprehensive assessment techniques.
• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy to varied populations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage clients and collaborate with team members.
• Demonstrated professional judgment and adherence to ethical standards in a therapeutic environment.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and the capacity to integrate technology into daily workflows.
• A collaborative spirit and strong commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork.

We prefer candidates with at least two years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling. Experience in a telehealth setting and additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities will be advantageous. A proven track record of effective patient engagement and positive therapeutic outcomes is highly valued.
