Are you committed to delivering exceptional patient care and ready to thrive in a fast-paced, supportive healthcare environment? Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated Virtual Providers to join our dynamic team across Connecticut and New York!
Providers must be licensed in CT (with additional NY and MA licenses preferred) to work in the comfort of their home office or clinical setting to treat patients during overnight business hours and weekends. Providers will provide timely phone and/or video telehealth consultations exclusively to patients within the YNHH network.

Essential Duties:
  • Obtaining a history of present illness in a concise manner
  • Reviewing and obtaining past medical history, social history, family history, and review of systems
  • Consult and treat patients virtually by providing clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic telehealth medical services in the area of his/her experience and training, along with related administrative services
  • Ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiologic testing when needed
  • Obtaining records and relevant data in the process of patient evaluation
  • Developing an orderly plan for care based on clinical impressions and evidence-based medical guidelines
  • Prescribing medications in accordance with State and Federal laws/guidelines
  • Consulting with other medical providers when appropriate
  • Referring to appropriate specialists when necessary
Key Knowledge Areas:
Several key knowledge areas and disease states commonly present in the urgent care setting. The provider must have good working knowledge including clinical presentation, evaluation, and treatment of the following disease states, across all age groups:
  • Chest Pain & Cardiac Complaints
  • Allergic Reactions
  • Fractures & Sprains
  • Upper Respiratory Infections
  • Asthma & COPD
  • Headaches
  • Rashes & Skin Infections
  • Eye Infections & Injuries
Education & Experience:
  • CT, NY, & MA State Medical License
  • Controlled Substance Registration
  • Federal DEA Registration
  • Board Certification
  • PALS and ACLS Certification
  • Previous telemedicine experience is required

MUST reside in one of our states of operation: CT, MA, or NY
Position Type/Expected Hours:
• Remote. Overnight hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
