To thrive as a Remote Weapon Sales Specialist, you need in-depth product knowledge, sales expertise, and familiarity with relevant legal regulations, often supported by a background in sales or defense-related fields. Proficiency in CRM software, online sales platforms, and compliance management systems is typically required. What are Remote Weapon Sales?

Remote Weapon Sales refer to the process of selling weapons, such as firearms, ammunition, or related equipment, through online platforms or by other remote means, instead of traditional in-person transactions. This type of sales often involves compliance with strict local, national, and international laws, including background checks, export controls, and shipping regulations. Companies or individuals engaged in remote weapon sales must ensure they follow all legal requirements and maintain secure, ethical business practices. The process may also include verifying the buyer's identity and eligibility to purchase such items.

What are some common challenges faced in remote weapon sales, and how can they be effectively managed?

Professionals in remote weapon sales often encounter challenges such as navigating complex international regulations, ensuring secure and compliant communication with clients, and building trust without in-person meetings. To manage these issues effectively, it's important to stay up-to-date on export laws, use secure digital platforms for transactions, and maintain clear, transparent communication with clients and team members. Regularly collaborating with legal and logistics teams can also help address compliance and delivery concerns, ensuring smooth sales processes.

Chapter 2

Job description

About Chapter 2
Chapter 2 is an embedded talent business. We partner with high-growth startups and scale-ups across the US and Europe, embedding senior recruiters directly into their teams under a Talent OS model - combining recruitment, employer branding, and technology to deliver both immediate hires and long-term hiring infrastructure.
Our clients are typically Series A-D companies across SaaS, deep tech, and healthcare who need to scale fast without the overhead of a full internal TA team. We've grown to 160+ people globally in under four years. The US chapter is starting now.
Sales Development Representative
East Coast & West Coast, United States
Remote • OTE $200,000 • Base $30,000- $50,000 • Uncapped Commission
The Opportunity
Chapter 2 is one of the fastest-growing embedded talent businesses in the world. We've scaled to over 160 people globally in four years. We don't do contingency. We don't post CVs. We embed directly into the world's most ambitious startups and scale-ups - acting as their talent function, building their hiring infrastructure, and delivering results at agency speed with the standards of an internal team.
We've built significant traction in Europe, and now we're building our US business - properly. That means hiring someone to own the pipeline for both coasts: identifying the right companies, engaging the right people, qualifying the right opportunities, and working directly alongside our US co-founder to close.
This is an SDR role, and we want to be upfront about what that means. That OTE reflects our genuine expectation of what a strong performer will earn within their first 12-18 months. The delta between those two numbers is deliberate: this role is built for someone motivated by uncapped earning potential, not a guaranteed salary. If you're looking to build a career in sales from the ground up and earn accordingly, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Actually Do
  • Own outbound across the East and West Coast - building pipeline into high-growth startups and scale-ups that need embedded talent solutions.
  • Identify and engage Heads of Talent, Senior Talent Managers, and Chief People Officers at Series A-D companies. These are your buyers and you need to know how to reach them.
  • Qualify rigorously. You're not just booking meetings, you're ensuring every conversation that goes to our co-founder is genuinely worth their time.
  • Use AI natively across your outreach workflow - from account research and hyper-personalized sequencing to automating admin. You're expected to be operating at a different level than a standard SDR.
  • Build Chapter 2's presence in the US startup ecosystem. LinkedIn, events, communities - you'll become a known voice in the embedded talent conversation.
  • Develop rapidly. Within 12 months, if the appetite is there, this becomes a full 360 role. You'll be responsible for opening and closing.

Who We're Looking For
We're not looking for someone who needs a playbook. We're looking for someone who's going to write it.
  • You come from an RPO, embedded talent provider, or recruitment agency - Talentful, Paraform, Karat, a boutique exec search firm, or similar. You understand what embedded recruiting actually means, and why companies are choosing it over contingency.
  • You're tapped into the US startup ecosystem. You know how a Series A company thinks about talent, what a Talent OS looks like, and why Heads of Talent choose embedded over traditional agency.
  • You know your ICP. Heads of Talent, Senior Talent Managers, Chief People Officers. You understand their challenges, their language, and what makes them sit up and pay attention.
  • You use AI extensively. Not as a novelty - as a weapon. Personalized outreach at scale, account intelligence, sequencing automation. This is a competitive advantage we take seriously.
  • High agency is your default setting. You don't wait to be told what to do. You identify the opportunity and you move.
  • You're ambitious and comfortable with risk. The base is low because the upside is real. That framing either excites you or it doesn't.
  • You're an exceptional communicator - crisp written outreach, confident on calls, able to articulate a complex value proposition simply and fast.
  • You handle ambiguity well. We're building the US business now. There is no established playbook. That's the opportunity.

Compensation & Progression
Base salary: $30,000- $50,000 OTE: $200,000. Uncapped.
The structure is intentional. We want someone who is genuinely motivated by earnings, not someone who is comfortable coasting on a safety net. The commission is structured to reward meetings booked, qualified opportunities passed, and - as you move into 360 - revenue closed.
Progression is not on a fixed timeline. It's based on performance. If you hit your numbers in the first six months, the conversation about account ownership starts. The right person will be running full deals within a year.
We are building the US business now. The person who comes in and owns this will have a seat at the table, not just a patch of territory. This is a founding commercial role.
Benefits and Rewards designed around you:
Because your hard work deserves more than just recognition-it deserves celebration. At Chapter 2 we're passionate about helping you shape a career that aligns with your aspirations, passions, and personal growth.
  • A competitive Commission Structure depending on experience
  • Flexible work arrangements - Remote
  • Future-Proof Your Finances - Our pension fund helps you invest in a secure and comfortable future, so you can plan with confidence.
  • Your Health Matters - From medical aid to comprehensive health and wellness programs, we're committed to keeping you feeling your best-inside and out.
  • Celebrate YOU - Your birthday is special, and we think you should spend it doing what makes you happiest! Enjoy birthday leave to relax, celebrate, and recharge.
  • Shining a Spotlight on Success - We love recognizing and rewarding hard work! Our Town Hall Recognition Awards celebrate those who go the extra mile, because every achievement deserves a moment in the spotlight.
