Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of clients, establishing rapport and maintaining professional boundaries while fostering a therapeutic relationship.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients to evaluate their progress, discuss treatment plans, and prepare for potential discharge when appropriate.
• Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that align with clients' goals, needs, and preferences.
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes on all client interactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Conduct intake assessments to understand new clients' needs and formulate initial recommendations for treatment.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions weekly, utilizing effective therapeutic techniques tailored to the client’s situation.
• Engage in individual supervision to enrich clinical skills and receive constructive feedback aimed at professional growth.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create a cohesive treatment approach for clients.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in mental health counseling from an accredited institution.
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in good standing.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical outpatient environment following graduation.
• Strong proficiency in utilizing technology for documentation, including experience with software such as Excel, RMS systems, Outlook, and PIMSY.
• Hands-on experience in providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families.
• Familiarity with the intake assessment process and able to effectively gather information to inform treatment strategies.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population, including various cultural backgrounds and presenting issues.
• Experience in collaborative counseling settings, contributing to multi-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in mental health treatment and assessment.
