Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of clients, establishing rapport and developing trusting relationships to facilitate therapeutic progress while maintaining professional ethics and boundaries.
• Conduct regular sessions with clients to assess progress, review treatment plans, discuss stability and future appointments, and determine the suitability for discharge when appropriate.
• Create, implement, and monitor individualized, person-centered treatment plans, ensuring that therapeutic goals align with client needs and aspirations.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates for all clients, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
• Perform thorough intake assessments to evaluate client needs and identify appropriate therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role serves a diverse outpatient population, including adults, children, and families facing various mental health challenges. You will have the opportunity to work with clients who present with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues, enabling you to apply and expand your clinical skills effectively.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field is required.
• Must possess a current, unrestricted, and active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification.
• At least two years of experience in a clinical outpatient setting is essential, allowing you to bring practical knowledge and skills to the role.
• Proficiency in using various computer applications, including Excel spreadsheets, RMS systems, Outlook, and specific mental health software like PIMSY, is necessary for effective documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with a diverse clientele, including children and families.
• Background in using evidence-based practices and modalities, contributing to enhanced treatment outcomes.
• Prior experience in a telehealth or remote counseling setting is advantageous as this role will be performed remotely.
