Work Environment

This role is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the convenience of working from anywhere in the Portland, Oregon area. As a telehealth LPC, you will conduct video sessions with clients, and engage in self-guided video lessons and practice exercises that extend beyond these interactions. You will maintain a cohesive connection with a supportive team dedicated to mental health excellence, while also managing your own schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly live video counseling sessions for adult clients experiencing a variety of mental health issues, ranging from anxiety and depression to stress management and emotional trauma.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques, including the Unified Protocol, to create targeted treatment plans that address each client's unique needs and goals.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatric providers to ensure a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to our client’s health needs.
• Track client progress through customized electronic medical records (EMR) that integrate treatment software, enabling seamless documentation and progress monitoring.
• Participate in weekly drop-in consultation sessions with leadership to ensure the highest quality of care and seek support as needed.
• Engage in team-wide initiatives to refine and enhance therapeutic approaches, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adults dealing with a broad spectrum of emotional disorders. The demographic served by Brightside Health is diverse, spanning various backgrounds and life experiences. As a counselor, you will be equipped to provide culturally aware and tailored support to individuals who may face unique barriers in their mental health journeys.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling, providing a solid foundation for this role.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust in a virtual environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in clinical documentation and care management.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) such as CBT or the Unified Protocol.
• Experience working in remote settings or telehealth environments is an advantage.
• Willingness to receive additional training in Crisis Care Programs, including the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicide (CAMS).

Compensation and Benefits

Brightside Health offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
